Lectratek, a pioneer in electric aviation technology, has announced the opening of its third office at the National Advanced Air Mobility Center of Excellence (NAAMCE). This strategic expansion marks a significant milestone in Lectratek’s mission to power the future of electric aviation.

Located at Springfield-Beckley Airport in Springfield, Ohio, the center is a hub for manufacturers and operators of electric vertical takeoff and landing vehicles and other vehicles used for advanced air mobility (AAM). In addition to its 30,000-square-foot office facility, NAAMCE houses 25,000 square feet of aircraft hangar space for the U.S. Air Force and private industry.

“The expansion to NAAMCE is a game-changer for Lectratek,” said Don McLaughlin, business manager for Lectratek. “Being part of this environment enables us to collaborate more effectively with key partners and stakeholders, accelerating the development and integration of advanced electric aviation technologies.”

NAAMCE provides a collaborative platform that brings together Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), NASA, the Ohio UAS Center, colleges, research institutions, and private industry. Lectratek joins 13 prominent AAM companies at the center, including Joby Aviation and AFWERX. This ecosystem fosters innovation and supports various projects to advance AAM integration beyond the aircraft itself.

“We’re excited to welcome Lectratek to the National Advanced Air Mobility Center of Excellence as the center continues to grow in prominence and activity,” said Springfield Assistant City Manager Tom Franzen. “Lectratek’s expertise in cutting-edge electronics, advanced batteries and enclosures, and efficient quiet ducted fans will strengthen NAAMCE’s preeminent role in advancing electric aviation.”

In addition to this new Springfield location, Lectratek maintains its headquarters in Miamisburg, Ohio, and office space in the historic Dayton Arcade in downtown Dayton. Visit Lectratek.com to learn more about the electric aviation powertrain provider.
